Description

This is a replacement solid state ignition for a wide range of small engines and is a guaranteed authentic OEM replacement part. This ignition works in conjunction with a flywheel magneto to produce an ignition spark in an engine. This works by passing electrical currents generated by magnets through the ignition coil and into a spark plug. This spark is what causes fuel and oxygen to combust, creating the energy needed to power an engine. Without a functioning ignition, an engine will not work. Through repeated use, the insulating material the protects an ignition can begin to break down. Heat and vibrations from the engine will slowly wear away and expose the coil to the elements. When this happens, the coil will no longer carry a current as efficiently as the ignition will begin to fail.
