This part is a carburetor primer. When the outdoor power equipment operator presses on the primer, it forces fuel into the fuel line from the fuel tank into the carburetor itself. If the carburetor has excess fuel, it will be purged back into the tank through the fuel return line.A new carburetor primer may be needed if the carburetor primer is broken or damaged in any way. Over time, this carburetor primer part may wear out or lose its elasticity. In this case, the carburetor primer will need to be replaced. Remember to wear gloves when operating or performing care and maintenance on any outdoor power equipment machines.This is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from Midwest Engine.
