John for Model Number SHSM63W52N/01 I have verified that the water level in the dishwasher is OK. Strangely, I find that the water is heated to about 160 F when the upper spray arm tube at the back of the dishwasher is removed and there will be no error code. When installed, I get E:08. I am thinking that the either the pump is not pumping well enough to handle the extra resistance of the tube or the alternating water distributor is not registering correctly, In either case, the water flow is reduced, but not so much that it can't work when the tube is removed. I am having trouble finding anyone who knows where the flow is sensed and relayed to the control module.
Answer John, The E 08 error code is a low water level inside the heater. With the water level being correct and the unit getting to the proper temperature, this would be a sensor in the heater that would cause this issue and would need to replace the motor for this sensor.
