Jennifer for Model Number Shu9915 uc/11 Our replacement part does not look like the original. Is this correct? How do we install new part? Also can you check part without closing up front panel? I am sure you recommend closing for safety, but can it be done or must it be closed up? Thank you.
Answer Hello Jennifer. Yes, based on the model number you provided, 00419828 is the correct latch assembly. Remove fascia panel from console by removing four (4) T-20 Torx screws. Remove the console and access the latch assembly. Remove the old latch assembly and install the new one. Reinstall in reverse order. Do not run the dishwasher without it reinstalled and complete. Answer Hi Jennifer. If You are extreemly careful you can use the new latch provided to "trip" the latch.
