John H. for Model Number SHP65T55UC/02 Had an independent repair tech look at our Bosch dishwasher and told my wife the "motor" was failing and it wasn't worth the cost to replace. I wasn't there so didn't get more details. My guess is that he was referring to a recirculating pump perhaps also known as a heat pump in our model SHP65T55UC/02. The unit is making a moaning noise in various parts of the cycle and seems to be consistent with such a failure or inevitable failure. He said the part would run around $200 (I'm sure that included his markup). I'm fairly handy and would endeavor to replace it if I can narrow the issue down.

The Bosch dishwasher has crimp on hose clamps which require a special tool to crimp and cannot all be replaced with standard hose clamps due to lack of room. Read More...
