Dan for Model Number SHX7ER55UC/50 My dishwasher does not get the soap residue off completely. Sometimes there is even a sticky residue on the dishes. It's started making some strange grinding noises as well, but i can't remember what part of the cycle that was in.

From there, you may want to check the sump assembly under the filter section for any kind of debris. If there is not debris, you will want to check the pump assembly 00705174 for debris that would be impacting the impeller or a damaged impeller.
