Nil for Model Number SHX9ER55UC/50

Hi, My dishwasher SHX9ER55UC/50 not running. On display sanitized and refill rinse aid light continuously blinking. All touch buttons not responding after. After turning ON the machine from display light started flashing within 2-3 seconds. I tried to reset by holding start key and pulling out the plug from the back for few minutes but nothing worked out. Checked Main control board no signs for any burn on soldering. Also checks float switch with multimeter, no leaks. Bosch manual do not speak anything about these light splashing. Is this Main control board/User interface/Heat pump?

1 Answer

Nil, Check the manual for error codes to see if the blinking lights would indicate an error, and If the control board is not sending power to one of the components, it's likely the control board is at fault and will need to be replaced. The main control board provides power to nearly every component of the dishwasher. It's possible that the board has shorted and is causing the lights to flash or blink.

Kevin, The pump cannot be rebuilt on this model and you would need to replace the pump and motor assembly.

Brutusbuckeye12345 for Model Number she3ar52uc/16

Recently, my Bosch DW started having issues. The cycle starts to run just fine, water fills, etc. Once it is done with that part there is a loud humming noise. The other symptoms are that the gel packs sometimes don't dissolve, and my sanitize cycle apparently doesn't run. I know because the light comes on when it's finished. I spoke to a repair guy locally and he said the "motor" needs to be replaced. Is there a chance that something needs to be cleaned, is jammed in there, etc, or does the motor/pump assembly need cleaned/replaced? I've removed debris from the spinning arms inside. Someone mentioned it could also be the circulation pump, but I wanted to ask once more to see if it's the motor/pump assembly or the circulation pump most likely at fault?

1 Answer

Hello BrutusBuckeye12345, this sounds like there is an issue with the circulation pump, (heat pump), 00705174. I would first open the pump assembly from the inside of the tub and make sure there is nothing in there that could interfere with the pump operation. If not, you can "clamshell" the unit to access the pump assembly and make sure there is nothing in the impeller. If all is clear, the issue is most likely the bearings in the heat pump assembly 00705174.

Dan, you may want to check to ensure that the dispenser is operating properly and that there are no obstructions that may prevent the door from opening properly. From there, you may want to check the sump assembly under the filter section for any kind of debris. If there is not debris, you will want to check the pump assembly 00705174 for debris that would be impacting the impeller or a damaged impeller. If the impeller is damaged, the pump assembly would need to be replaced.

Nick for Model Number SHE3ARL5UC/07

Hi, My Bosch dishwasher model SHE3ARL5UC/07 does drain but in the last cycle, it does not drain the water completely. There is some water still standing in the tub. Then it keeps coming on intermittently and draining for a second or two but doesn't completely drain it. After the wash cycle, the pump comes on, I can hear a sip or two of water draining & then it stop. It does this intermittently, even through the night or sometimes even when the door is open. Looks to me that it has some sort of sensor which detects that there is still water in the tub and turns on the pump but duration is too short to drain all of it. I replaced the Motor/Heat Pump 00705174 (now 00655250) about 2.5 years ago. This standing water problem started about 6 months ago. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

1 Answer

Nick, you may want to check that there are no clogs in the drain pipe that could restrict the water from draining fully. You may also want to check to ensure that there is not any water in the pan under the dishwasher as this can cause the drain pump to come on. When the door is open, power should not be able to get to your drain pump unless the float underneath the dishwasher is in the up position. If there is a restriction in the drain line, then the water may leak through a weak spot into the pan under the dishwasher.

Dave Sharkey for Model Number She3arf2uc/07 bocsh

I get an e20 code on start up the motor rocks back and forth briefly and then shuts off and displays error code . There appears to be a burnt spot on the rotor of pump . Not being sure what’s wrong I ordered a pre owned pump on eBay. Although the pump looked good and had no burn marks it did the same thing as the original. Is there a way to ohm out the motor ? If I were sure the pump was the problem I might invest in a new one,but I don’t want to be stuck with a 200.00 non returnable part.

Dave, Unfortunately we do not have any information on the resistance of the motor for this unit. You will want to check to make sure that the motor is receiving 120 vac and if it is not then this will be a faulty wiring or control board.

Dan, " the lights light up and we hear a sound when it starts but no water, no nothing " The first thing to check is the water supply to the dishwasher and the water inlet valve 00622058 on the front base panel of the machine, behind the kick plate. The dishwasher needs to fill with water in order to operate.
