The Hot Water Inlet Valve is an OEM part for Bosch washing machines. It regulates the entry of hot water into the machine, crucial for cycles requiring warm or hot washes. Activated by the machine's control system, this valve opens at the precise moment to allow the correct amount of hot water to mix with the cold, ensuring the selected temperature setting is accurately achieved.

The causes behind issues with the hot water inlet valve often include sediment build-up from hard water, wear and tear from regular use, or electrical failures preventing the valve from operating.

Symptoms of a malfunctioning Hot Water Inlet Valve include:

  • Water that is too cold
  • No water entering the machine
  • Leaks around the valve area

This genuine OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau and select Kenmore models.

Lan, the issue could be caused by several things. To identify what may be causing the issue, an error code can be found by rotating the selector knob to the off position then pressing and holding the menu and the select buttons at the same time. While holding these buttons, rotate the selector knob counterclockwise until it is on the permanent press cold selection. When the knob reaches this position, P1: ERRORS should show. With this showing, press the flashing start button to enter the fault codes listings. This will allow for the menu and select buttons to no longer be pressed so that the errors can be cycled from the most recent to the least recent error by pressing the menu button.
