Gary for Model Number SGCS304R You responded to my original question asking what burner is not lighting - it is one of 2 ExtraLow burners (the other ExtraLow burner operates OK). It is supposed to cycle on and off to provide low temperature heating. I assume there is an electrically actuated gas valve or its controller that is malfunctioning. If so, how can I diagnose which is defective and are they relatively easy to replace?
Answer Hi Gary. There is a spark switch part # 00189008. There is an updated potentiometer that is part # 00497235. It is recommended to have a qualified technician to install it. You can isolate and bypass the spark switch to see if your burner gas valve is OK. This valve is named in colors. What exact position is the burner incorrectly working? Thank you. Read More...
