Answer Jane, The SY EF error code is representative of being a evaporator fan error. You will want to access the main control board. The control board is located under the front of the unit and you will test for voltage going to the evaporator fan. If there is voltage from the control board to the fan motor then the issue will be a faulty fan. If no voltage then the board is defective. Read More...
