Brad for Model Number FRS23H5ASB8 My Frigidaire was continuously pouring water from the filter, causing a lot of water inside. I replaced the base as your site suggested with no issues. However, it is still spewing water when I either, try to use the water dispenser or leave the ice maker on. I have not replaced the filter. Could that be the issue? If not, would the installation of a filter bypass work? Would that still allow me to use the ice maker? Thanks
Answer Hello Brad, You should check the water lines and filter for any possible cracks. If the issue is being caused by a cracked water line, replacing the water filter with a bypass will not help. Also, the water lines should be checked where they enter the filter base since, if not fully inserted or if there are "ridges" formed in the water lines, they may not be sealing properly. If a filter bypass were installed it would not affect the icemaker operation. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, January 26, 2018
