Roger for Model Number 7909643400 I've confirmed everything is working but I'm not getting current out of the cooktop control board for the particular burner. Bypassing the control board with current, it works so I've confirmed everything else to be working - i.e. switch, burner. The only thing I'm uncertain of is whether or not the relay on the cooktop control board for the simmer select element is supposed to default open (off), with all the others defaulting closed (on). I tested continuity on the new control board and all the other burner power circuits have continuity (on) except this one. Appears to me I've received a faulty board. Anyone have any intimate knowledge on this question?
Answer Hello Roger, The relays on the board are all closed in the "off" state as per the wiring sheet on the model number you listed. If I am understanding the situation you have correctly, I would have to agree and you should call us at 1-877-477-7278 and request an exchange authorization if the part is within the one year warranty. Since we do not manufacture the parts, we appreciate your patience and understanding in the matter. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, July 17, 2014
