Ron for Model Number 7909642340D Breaker trips, one phase shows short circuit. Following leads for that phase led me to the cooktop lockout board: when input power is disconnected breaker no longer trips. Board input terminal shows zero resitance to ground when output is connectord or not, so I'm thinking the board is the culprit. Board part number is 316429301. Do you agree?
Answer Ron, Based on the unit not tripping the circuit with the supply being removed from it would indicate that it is the board that is causing the issue.
