Garyb for Model Number kenmore 587.1525 My dishwasher doesn't complete a cycle. On normal and light wash, it does not drain the rinse water, although it releases soap and washes ok. The "heat dry" and (I think) "sanitize" lights flash, and the unit quits. The problem seems to be intermittent, although it fails about 90% of the time. I had the drain pump replaced, but that didn't help.
Answer Hello Gary, I believe the heating element has failed. It could be the thermostat or control but the heating element is a much more common failure. You can test it for continuity to be sure.
