J.T.M. for Model Number FRS6LF7GS4 For no apparent reason, my ice dispenser will not shut off any time the appliance senses the freezer door is closed. In less than one day the problem now switched to the water dispenser. It just pours a steady stream of water out of the dispenser. Opening the door is the only way to stop the flow. I disconnected the entire front panel from the refrigerator to shut it off. Do I need the main power control 241708202 or the dispenser control 241708309? What is the difference? Thanks
Answer Hello J.T.M., This can be caused by a shorted harness (usually at the door hinge if this is the case), a stuck dispenser switch 241689106 in the ice/water dispenser or the dispenser board 241708202 has failed.
