Questions & Answers

For Frigidaire Main Power Dispenser Control Board (Part Number: OEM11880114)

1 Answer

Frank, You will want to make sure that the dispenser lever is hitting the switch inside the dispenser. If the lever is broken it will not hit and cause this issue. If the lever is not broken and the switch is being depressed then make sure that the switch test good for continuity and if it does then this will be a faulty power control board.

Hello Craig, The Beta Control 241739711 has most likely been damaged. This will be located in the control section at the top of the fresh food compartment.

J.T.M. for Model Number FRS6LF7GS4

For no apparent reason, my ice dispenser will not shut off any time the appliance senses the freezer door is closed. In less than one day the problem now switched to the water dispenser. It just pours a steady stream of water out of the dispenser. Opening the door is the only way to stop the flow. I disconnected the entire front panel from the refrigerator to shut it off. Do I need the main power control 241708202 or the dispenser control 241708309? What is the difference? Thanks

Hello J.T.M., This can be caused by a shorted harness (usually at the door hinge if this is the case), a stuck dispenser switch 241689106 in the ice/water dispenser or the dispenser board 241708202 has failed. The power supply on the main board is normally not the cause of this complaint.

Adam for Model Number Glhs66eeq7

I have a frigidaire side by side. The control panel on the front was loose but everything on the freezer door worked properly. One day I open the freezer and the control panel fell off of the front of the door and in thr process pulled the ribbon cable from the control panel. When I attempted to reattach the ribbon cable I was surprised to see that the ice auger runs constantly with the ribbon attached. Has something been damaged from the panel jolting on the floor or has the ribbon been damaged? Help!!!

Adam, If the dispenser facade fell off the door, we wouldn't be surprised to find a damaged 241708309 / 241708309 dispenser control board and or 241680002 / 5304430811 Ribbon Cable. Both parts are somewhat delicate and you may want to replace both parts.

Connie, This issue would most likely be caused by either a faulty ribbon cable or the power control board on the dispenser that is faulty.

Seth, It's not likely that both actuator switches have failed at the same time, but it's possible. The first check to make is the wire harness at the freezer door bottom hinge, make sure the harness didn't accidentally get knocked loose or off the connector, check the wires where they enter the hinge and the door, make sure there aren't any broken, twisted, damaged wires. The board you replaced is the power dispenser board, you also have a dispenser control board 241708309 and ribbon cable 241680002 that interacts with the power board and makes the dispenser operate, that would be your next step/check.

Seth, The dispenser control board would most likely be the issue with the dispenser not working.

Butch, You will want to check the wiring at the hinge of the unit to make sure that the wiring is not damaged. If this checks ok then the issue will be the dispenser board that is faulty.
