Brian for Model Number FGHN2844LF5 About a week ago my fridge warmed up to about 57 degrees. Freezer was fine. I cleaned the coils and in 24 hours the fridge was back down to 37 degrees. Last night the fridge was back up to 57 degrees. This morning its running and trying to cool. I can feel cold air coming thru the vents in the fridge. I haven't noticed any frost build up on the back wall of the freezer. Any ideas? Thanks.
Answer Brian, With the freezer keeping good temps chances are there is an issue with the damper opening or the thermister is telling the control the temps are good and not to open the damper. Check the resistance of the thermistor. If temps are 57 the thermistor will read about 16.5k and if temps are 38 the resistance will be 27.5k. 240597220 is the thermistor but if these readings are good then replace the damper. 5303918899 Read More...
