Duane for Model Number PLES389DCD When I turn the oven on, only the broil comes on and gives me an f1 error code. Air continually blows out a vent above the oven door. What could be the problem?
Answer Hello Duane, As per the tech sheet, this can be caused by any of the following conditions: 1. Shorted keypad. 2. Control's internal checksum may have become corrupted. 3. Control has sensed a potential runaway oven condition. Control may have shorted relay, RTD sensor probe may have gone bad. To correct the issue it is recommended to Check RTD sensor probe and replace if necessary. If the oven is overheating, disconnect power. If oven continues to check the oven sensor and replace if necessary. The oven sensor should have a resistance of 1090 ohms at 77 degrees and would add 2 ohms for every 1 degree of temperature increase. If the oven is overheating, disconnect power. If oven continues to overheat when the power is reapplied, replace EOC. Severe overheating may require the entire oven to be replaced, should damage be extensive. Read More...
