M.R.S. for Model Number FAFS4272LA0 Recently got an E58. Diagnostic test did not spin in high. Did test #8 from Tech Sheet. Tub and Motor Spun Freely. All connections secure. Ohm'ed motor winding's and were within specs of Tech sheet. So Motor Control was replaced. Did a diagnostic spin and it checked out. Did a small load and it went through a whole cycle fine. Second small load and E58 appears. I've already replaced the Motor Control. Am I just changing parts? How can I pin point this problem? I gather the motor control monitors current and speed control? It will spin in high in diagnostic mode with no codes; empty tub. AS WITH OLD MOTOR CONTROL it would not spin at all in high in diagnostic mode.
Answer Hello M.R.S., Since it is possible to have a bad new board 137260800, I would replace this board again. You should also double check the resistances of the motor windings and the harness. The motor control 134618213 is likely at fault with these symptoms. I could not help but notice the board you listed is not on the manufacturers parts for this model. Read More...
