Sheri for Model Number GLEFS76ASB While baking, I kept burning my cupcakes...oven seemed to go haywire. Heating element wouldn't turn off and then F1 kept coming up on the screen. Tried unplugging range, F1 error kept returning. I'm guessing I need an EOC. Plan on replacing myself with help from this site (Girl Power!), but am curious if there could be anything else wrong and/or will I need anything other than the actual EOC itself?
Answer Hello Sheri. Test and make sure the oven sensor is good. Should read 1100 ohms at room temp and 1650 ohms at 350°. If so, replace the ERC on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
