Andrew for Model Number FAFW3001LW1 I installed a new motor control board after getting error code E5E. The washing machine then worked fine for 3 complete cycles and then went back to not working. Someone told me I should just send this one back and get a new one because he has experience with these being not functional upon arrival and I probably got a bad one. Is that likely or is it probably the main control board?
Answer Andrew, While it is possible that you received a defective board it would be recommended to check and see if the same error is coming up. If it is then you will want to do the following. Check the wiring between the main board and the motor control board for damage and proper seating of the terminal connections. If the wiring is bad correct the wiring issue. Since the motor control has been replaced then the main control would be the next part that would need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, March 22, 2019
