" An error message will be displayed (glowing “Er”) at power up (or after a power failure) if ANY of the surface control knobs were left in the ON positions If a power failure should occur, be sure to set all of the surface control knobs to the OFF position. This will reset the surface controls." We could find no similar error for the "Sb" in any technical data information, You will need to reset the power to the unit , make sure everything is Off or reset first. If the "ER" error persists, you'll want to check or replace the potentiometer 316441801
