1 Answer Helen, You would want to check to make sure that there is 240 Vac coming from the switch to the element. You will do this by testing from the H2 to the H1 on the switch with the switch in the on position. I disassembled the stovetop to check burner element continuity to ensure the problem was the element and not the potentiometer. I assembled the stove and reinstalled it. I am now getting ‘ER’ on all LED displays. I did not ( intentionally) disconnect any wiring.

Charles September 04, 2018 for Model Number PLES389ECH Element controls have dash marks across them and there is a red lock on the control screen. I have tried unplugging the oven to reset controls and nothing happens. I have also tried starting a clean cycle and cancelling after 10 minutes, still no result. A month ago milk was spilled on the control panel and the burners would not turn off. Th e rest of the oven is working just fine. I cannot use the burners due to the lock. I am not sure if I need to replace the main control board or just the surface control for the burner that would not turn off. Please help.
