Answer

Hello Lisa, The E-41 fault code means that the control board isn't getting the completed circuit required to tell the control that the door is closed. This can be a bad connection, (J-2 connector), a bad door switch 131763256, or the control 134743500 has failed. Most of these I have serviced has been a poor or intermittent connection between the door switch and the control. In about 30% of the cases, the door switch had to be replaced. In probably 5% to 10% of the cases, the control wasn't reading a proper signal being sent back to it. Of course you do need to unplug and reconnect the wiring to and from the door switch to the control to ensure a proper connection and don't forget to check the door strike. If the door isn't striking correctly it will tear up the door latch or the striker.
