John for Model Number LFFH21F7HWJ I am fixing (or trying to) a Frigidare upright freezer for a friend on limited income so I need help diagnosing a problem. The compressor was running almost all of the time for a few weeks prior to this problem, although it was maintaining proper temperature. One day I noticed that the display temperature was reading 14 degrees and rising.I raised the temp. setting to 20 degrees and the the system shut off. Then I set it back to 5 degrees and it started cooling. The temperature began to go back down, and wehen it go to about 5 degrees the display flashed OF, then FF, and it no longer tried to cool. I have tested the interior fan and it works. I will replace the control board if it is needed, but wold like to be sure that this $100 plus part will fix it for her before spending her money needlessly.
