Mike for Model Number GLFH17F8HWA Every time I open the freezer door, the power went off and the light blink inside. Sometime power will come back on after, sometime don't. There was one time it didn't come back on just with temp showing 11, then change to 1. I tried to power off by switching the fuse off from the fuse panel since the power is back of the freezer very hard to reach. It didn't work. Then I start to press the buttons on the control panel and one I put pressure on the display screen. It's change thing on the display screen, and then finally the power of the freezer came back on. I did the same thing few time by putting pressure on around the display screen and it's does change, and I can heard the freezer went on and off. Is there something lose in the circuit board of the control panel. Do I have to replace the control panel.
Answer Mike, This issue will most likely be caused by a faulty control board. You could try to test the wires that go through the door but in most cases it is a control board issue that is causing the failure. The part number for the control board is 297235200. Read More...
