Bill for Model Number LFFH21F7HWG I replaced the control board on the front door; the unit began running, and running, and running. When the temp got down to 4 deg. F I raised the temp setting to 10 deg. to see if the motor would stop; it didn't, it just raised the temp to 10 degs. When is the motor supposed to stop running. When it reaches the set temp or what? The ambient temp here now is averaging 95 to 100 in the day time, 70 at night. What is the unit trying to tell me when the control board reads; 0-F-FF, 0-F-FF, 0-F-FF...repeatedly. I'm having trouble figuring out how to put what where when I receiving a compressor repair kit on my upright freezer. Can anyone help?
Answer Bill, These units are designed to operate optimally between 55 and 95 degrees. If the unit is setting in an area that is plus 95 degrees then it will run continuously to try to get the temperature to where it is supposed to be. The heat being pulled out of the unit is unable to release into the atmosphere at the ambient temperature that it is located in. If you are able to put a fan behind it then it would help because it will blow air across the compressor to try to extinquish the heat from the unit. As for the controls showing O-F-FF, that means that the unit is turned to the off position. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, June 27, 2016
