Mary for Model Number FKFH21F7HWD My control panel is on the front door. Freezer works erratic at best.control panel not responding. When it was working a lot of frost would build up & the thaw & leak. It is almost 6 years old & I am wondering if it is worth repairing. Definitely not the product I had hoped it would be. How do I take off the front panel.
Answer Mary, It sounds likely that the issue will be a defrost issue. With the frosting issue you will want to remove the rear panel in the freezer and check for a even frost pattern. If the coils are impacted with ice then this is a defrost issue. You would want to test the defrost heater and defrost thermostat and if they are good then this will be a issue with the control board.
