Ken I just ordered a controller for my Fridgidaire Freezer part no. 297366300. It arrived but no housing was included. Since I have to break the tabs to remove the housing how am I supposed to reuse the housing?
Answer Ken, the locking tabs that hold the control to the interface should be able to be pushed outward away from the control to be able to remove it and reuse the housing. This can be done by using the relay in the upper corner of the control to push the control towards the bottom of the interface. With the control as far towards the bottom as possible, the tabs at the top can be gently pulled away and the control lifted up at the top.
