Harry Of Arkansas for Model Number LFFH17FHWH After $350.90 repair bill, The Hi Temp still on after more than a 24 hr recovery time frame. And two day still on. A new electronic board was part of the repair. Freeze reached 18F then went back to 64F. But the Hi Temp will not go out.
Answer Harry, Not sure what parts were replaced but basically the control reads the thermistor resistance and decides if it needs to cool or not. The control then sends voltage to the compressor and fans. If the compressor is running and fans are running then either there is a defrost issue or a sealed system problem. We would need a picture of the coils if compressor is running and not cooling. The manufacturer does not give a resistence for the thermistor but it should read very high at 0 degrees like 60 to 80k ohms. Thermistor is located the the evaporator coils behind the rear panel. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, August 10, 2020
