Trytryagain for Model Number glfh21f8hwh

I have a frigidaire model glfh21f8hwh upright freezer that the door ajar alarm keeps sounding. The alarm sound would reset when pushing button but still stay lit up. When testing the door switch manually the light wouldn't turn off so we ordered a replacement door switch and replaced it. After replacing it the new switch it still didn't turn the light on/off so the alarm sounded again. I ohm'd thru the old switch & new switch for continuity and both open/close properly for breaking the signal. I have already checked the wiring harness and have no issues there so we figured next step was the control board. Today, I installed a new control board (turns out I was sent a used one by local supply store so i dont know if this board is reliable) and it still does the same thing. What else could possibly be the issue? The freezer is cooling correctly, door is snug and everything works perfectly except that darn door alarm warning won't disengage.

Answer

Trytryagain, with the power cord unplugged and the control board removed, the wire connection would need to be unplugged and tested for continuity from the blue wire at pin 7 to the white wire at pin 8. If there is not continuity, there is a broken wire somewhere in the door or cabin that is preventing the control from sensing the door being closed based on the provided information. If this is the case, the same colored wires would need to be tested at the door hinge to identify if the wire failure is in the door. If there is continuity at the door hinge connection, the outer door panel 297317301 would need to be replaced.
