Edward J. for Model Number LFFH17F7HWC My freezer stopped working. The temp alarm went off and control unit on door read high temperature. Nothing worked except the interior light. I bought a new Electronic control assy. from you and plugged it in. Immediately everything started working again, but freezer does not turn off, just keeps getting colder and colder. The door elect. control reads 88 - 92 degrees and the high temp light is always on. What's still wrong? Thx, Ed
Answer Edward, First check and make sure the interior light is going off, when the door is closed, and the door is sealing. Recheck the connections on the new control assembly. If all's OK, you'll need to check or replace the thermistor 297018400 located on the back wall of the freezer, behind the evaporator cover. Read More...
