Dennis Dunaway for Model Number PLRH1779GS4 I ordered part 216715500 temperature control, but received part 5304492453 temperature control kit. I am told that 5304492453 replaces 216715500. The plug prongs are different on part number 5304492453 and 1 of the prongs is slightly bent. What is the significance of the slightly bent prong and should part number 5304492453 be the the correct replacement part? Also, what is the wire harness with the 2 white wires used for? Thanks!
Answer Dennis, This kit 5304492453 is the correct replacement part for your unit. There is no significance to the terminal being bent and because the voltage just passes through this part and it completes the circuit it would not matter which wire goes to which terminal.
