Joe for Model Number ffu14fc4cw3 My freezer does not freeze my ice cream only, everything else meats etc freezer up but that and my temperture is set at the highest # 7 and there is water on the bottom of inside of the freezer can you PLease tell me what could it be.
Answer Hello Joe, Ice cream will not freeze solid until it gets down to below 15°F. Since you are freezing but not getting down to 15°F, you either have an air circulation issue or a sealed system issue. The water in the bottom of the unit is probably from a frozen defrost drain. This can be thawed out with a hair dryer after the removal of the back wall. While you're in there, you can check for a blockage of air flow through the coils from a frost build-up. once the drain is cleared, chase it with a length of weedeater line. It will not puncture the rubber hose used in the system. If there is no frost build-up, try pulling the unit out from the wall far enough to give 4 inches or more between the condenser coils on the back of the unit and the wall. Make sure there is room for air to circulate around the unit and the inside of the unit should have room for the air to circulate also. Items in plastic bags should have any excess wrapped around them and not just sticking up as this will interfere with air flow also. Read More...
