Ted August 12, 2019 for Model Number LFFH17F7HWD Fridgedaire Freezer -Electronic control panel on front of door flashes between temp and duration, will not cool sufficiently. temp showing around 50 and duration @ 36 hours. also red light on, showing power loss.
1 Answer Ted, Chances are the control has failed on this unit. It sends power to the compressor and fans and runs the defrost circuit also. With the display acting up and temperature issues also I have always found the control to be the problem. If that compressor is running constantly and the unit still is not cooling then there is most likely a system leak and a refrigeration tech would need to do the repair. Read More...
Mark December 09, 2017 for Model Number FFU14FC4AW0 My freezer doesn't turn on at all. It has power, I changed temp setting, moved defrost dial, replaced defrost timer. What do I check next? Temp control seems common but how do I test it.
1 Answer Mark, With this issue the temp control will be the most likely cause for this issue and you would only be able to test power to the thermostat and from the thermostat. Read More...
Ron May 02, 2017 for Model Number FRS23R4AQ6 On the freezer temperature control there is two screws that seem to adjust it. Is that correct do they do anything to make stay off longer. My refrigerator side is getting to cold the temp control turning down dont seem to help much or any. The unit seems to go off an ok i also tryed to turn down the freezer down it dont help any.The temp gets down to about 30 to 32 deg i think that that is to cold. If you have some help for me please e mail me. Thanks for your time.
1 Answer Ron, If the refrigerator section is getting too cold then the issue will be a faulty thermostat in the refrigerator. There should be a set screw that you can adjust but if an adjustment does not work then the thermostat will need to be replaced. Read More...
Ron January 30, 2017 for Model Number LFFU1466GW1 Freezer just shuts off on occasion and gets warm, then starts to run again and seems to run to much. I am thinking it is the defrost thermostat or the temperature control thermostat or both. When it is running it is fine, and obviously when it shuts down everything inside is ruined. Better to trouble shoot or buy new freezer as this is a 2006 model?
1 Answer Ron, The most likely cause for this issue would be a faulty defrost timer which is part number 5304518034. Read More...
Densil October 06, 2015 for Model Number LFX25960ST Hi, the freezer on my LG refigerator freezer keeps freezing solid and then unfreezes and refreezes and unfreezes. Whats going on?
1 Answer Densil, With the unit freezing thawing and refreezing, this issue would be most likely cause by a defrost sensor that is not reading properly and causing the unit to stick in defrost. If the sensor checks ok then it would be a main control board issue. Read More...
