By: Frigidaire
Part Number: OEM6348684
Manufacturer Part Number: 240383703

This genuine OEM part is a temperature control thermostat for refrigerators. The temperature control thermostat is the part that regulates and adjusts the temperature settings of the refrigerator. If the refrigerator is no longer maintaining the desired temperature settings, not cooling, or otherwise not operating properly, it will need to be replaced. To replace this part, make sure the refrigerator is unplugged. After unplugging, proceed to open the refrigerator door and remove all the interior shelving. Once removed, proceed to unmount the screws that hold the interior panels in place. Once loosened, remove the panels to access the temperature control thermostat. After locating the part, unthread the mounting screws that secure the thermostat to its housing. After unthreading, pull the old thermostat out and remove the wire harness that it is attached to. Replace it with the new thermostat and proceed to reinstall the interior panels of the refrigerator. This replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Frigidaire, Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Westinghouse brand refrigerators.

Hello Willie, Unplug the unit from the wall outlet and remove the three screws along the bottom of the control panel. These three screws thread straight up towards the ceiling. There is one screw you will need to remove that threads towards the freezer compartment up behind the control panel. now you will need to remove the screw from the cover on the freezer side at the top right of the freezer compartment. This will allow you to slightly depress the hooking tabs at each corner of the air duct between the freezer and fresh food compartments. Now go back to the fresh food section and remove the screw at the rear top holding the assembly to the wall of the fresh food compartment. This should allow you to pull the assembly away from the wall and unplug the electrical connection to the ceiling. Now you can remove the assembly and complete the repair on the counter top. At this point, you should take several pictures with your cell phone so you can get the assembly back together as it originally was so it will go back together properly. Re-assembly is in the reverse order of the dis-assembly. One point, do not tighten any of the screws until you have started all of the screws. Tightening them down will prevent you from peeking between the parts to line the next screw up with the screw hole.
