Jason for Model Number FRS26R4CWO My refrigerator is getting to cold (freezing). I had to turn the temperature control knob to 0 for it to stop freezing. Up until being right on 0 turning the knob made no difference in temperature. What is most likely to be the problem?
Answer Hello Jason, This sounds like the damper assembly has failed. The first thing you need to do is to make sure there is no frost build-up that is preventing the damper from closing. In periods of high humidity, there can be a frost build-up develop during the amount of time it takes to put the groceries away if the door is left standing open for the duration. If there is no frost build-up in the damper assembly, replace the control box assembly 5304482075 which is the assembly you order to get the damper assembly. Read More...
