Mike for Model Number frs26h7cb0 Milk is freezing in the refrigerator. I checked the air flow, and no matter where I set the refrigerator temp. control the damper door stayed 100% open, until I turned it to 0, the damper then closed. I reset the control to "normal" but nothing happened. The damper door stayed closed. I proceeded to disassemble the control box. When I loosened the box from the refrigerator side, the damper opened, 100%. I removed the damper assembly from the control box, it would not operate with the refrig. temp control. I re-installed the control box and contents to their original position. Turn the refig. temp control to normal, the damper door opend 100%, I once again set the temp. control to 0 the damper closed, I set the control back to normal...the damper stayed closed. I was able to get the damper to open once again, but it remained opened 100%. It seems to me, that the refrig. temp. control isn't working properly. Any other ideas? Thank You.
Answer Hello Mike. Based on the information you provided, the temperature control is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, February 20, 2013
