Barbara for Model Number 253.21421104 I have a 22 year old upright Kenmore freezer model number 253.21421104. The food at the top of the freezer started thawing. I removed everything from the freezer. The bottom back of the freezer is cold with a slight ice build up. The freezer is not freezing completely. The fan doesn't turn on and off to circulate the cold air thorough out the freezer. The temperature control knob still turns the freezer on and off. I replaced the timer. Should I replace the temperature control knob or the fan motor or both the temperature control knob and the fan motor?
Answer Barbara, You will need to use a multimeter and check for power to the fan motor when the unit is turned on. If there is power (120vac) to the motor and it doesn't run, it will need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, January 11, 2024
