Hello Al. You will need to uninstall the dishwasher to replace the springs. Once the unit is pulled out, you will need to hook the long hook end of the spring 154430601 into the door hinge, and the short hook end into the holes in the frame of the dishwasher. Move the holes around to adjust the tension on the door. Hope this helps.
