Butch My frigidaire dishwasher quit draining during operation. At the end of a complete cycle the tub is full of water. Unless I cup an amount of water out of the tub the control panel will not allow me to restart the dishwasher, is there a safety device?. Does it sound as if the drain pump assembly needs to be replaced?
Answer Hi Butch. Pull your drain hose off the end of your sink or aerator connection. Put it into a bucket and then see if it will drain. If not , can you hear the pump motor activating and trying to pump. Your hose may be clogged at the end where it connects to the drain.
