For Frigidaire Drain Pump Assembly (Part Number: OEM12058941)

Hello Edmond, if the usual checks have been done; dishwasher cleaner run in a cycle, the detergent being used is not causing suds build up, the strainer and filter screen top of the wash/sump assembly are clear, drain hose checked and clear, then yes, replace the drain pump assembly part A00126401.

Kevin, it may be that the impeller is broken and not actually turning any water. There could be something floating around in the sump that when it starts to drain, it is pulled back into the drain pump. Keep running the drain to see if it can be flushed out.

Brian, If the water level gets to just below the heater then this would be proper but for the drain you will want to check to make sure that the drain pump is getting proper power to it. If there is power to the pump then the issue will be the pump and if there is no power the control board is faulty.

Jason, The rubber piece would be a check valve and would cause the water to back flow into the unit if it is deteriorated. It would not cause water to come out from under the unit but will want to check to see if there is a leak from the hoses and if the leak is coming from the pump then it will need replaced.

Charlie, To properly assist we would need the model number of the unit. Based on the description it would be recommended to check to make sure that there is nothing clogged in the drain hose or in the drain pump. If this checks ok then the issue may be a faulty drain pump.

Steve, It would be recommended to get into the pump assembly and make sure that there is nothing caught in there that would cause this high pitch noise. If this checks ok then it could be the drain pump since it happens at the last 30 minutes.

Jason for Model Number FDB4315LFC0

Hello, My dishwasher (FDB4315LFC0) recently started to intermittently run either the drain or circulation pump after the completion of the washing and drying cycle. When raising the drain hose I noticed some water was able to flow back into the base of the unit. I assume that the problem is the check valve flapper built into the drain pump assembly. I plan on ordering a new drain pump as I didn't see the option to just order the flapper as with other models (GE). I also wanted to ask whether or not a bad water level sensor (if applicable) could be potentially sending an improper signal to the controller telling the system to drain even when no water is present. I am suspecting an electrical issue in addition to the check valve given the fact that every 2-3 minutes the washer will try to turn the pump on. Let me know if you suggest I purchase any additional spare parts. Thank you for your assistance.

Hello Jason. This sounds like the main control board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.
