Jason for Model Number FDB2810LDC1 Our dishwasher had water come out from under it after a cycle. Upon inspection the drain pipes under the sink were pretty clogged causing a slow drain. I cleaned out the pipes , then checked the hose running from the drain pump. Upon inspection, I saw the rubber flap in the pump had deteriorated. Would this let water come back out the pump onto the floor? Do I need to replace the pump or is there another problem?
Answer Jason, The rubber piece would be a check valve and would cause the water to back flow into the unit if it is deteriorated. It would not cause water to come out from under the unit but will want to check to see if there is a leak from the hoses and if the leak is coming from the pump then it will need replaced.
