Kevin for Model Number fdbb2455fso After the last wash cycle there began a rattling sound coming from the drain pump. Whenever we turned the dishwasher on again, that rattling sound starts. I manually poured some water into the tub and it did not appear to drain. I took the drain pump out and took it apart and saw nothing broken. The pump was getting voltage because of the noise it was making. Do you think the pump is bad or could it be the controller
Answer Kevin, it may be that the impeller is broken and not actually turning any water. There could be something floating around in the sump that when it starts to drain, it is pulled back into the drain pump. Keep running the drain to see if it can be flushed out. Read More...
