Bert L for Model Number 970686028 I recently bought from Sears a left front dual element for a Kenmore Glass top stove they provided a substitute element part no 316555800. When wiring is installed in the same pattern as the former element it does not work. Is there a problem with the wiring sequence or with the new element?
Answer Hello Bert. You will need to check and make sure the old element and new element terminals are the same. If not, then they may wire differently. Also, you need to test and see if the issue is the switch for that element. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
