Ken K. for Model Number FEC 30S7EBB I replaced the dual element burner and surface switch several years ago. Both elements of the burner appear to work but are only warm to the touch. Is it most likely that I need to replace the surface switch rather than the dual element burner?
Answer Hello Ken, The problem could be either the infinite switch or the surface element. You should test the infinite switch and if it tests good, replace the surface element. With power off, test from L1 to H1. This should read open until the switch is turned on. You will then need to test from L2 to H2. This should read open until the switch is turned on also.
