Pat for Model Number GLDB653JB0 So now that I have received the part (AP4421139) replacement gasket for the door of the dishwasher, how do I install it? I can't get at the old gasket. Do I need to remove the whole door? The inner plastic part does not come off unless you remove the door at the hinge. Is this the correct procedure?
Answer Hello Pat! To install the door gasket 809006501 you will need to disconnect the power to the unit. Remove the inner door panel from the dishwasher and lay it on a flat surface. Remove the door gasket and install the new gasket in the door panel. Reinstall the inner door panel and make sure the gasket is making contact with the tub assembly. Hope this helps, thanks!
