Mary for Model Number FDB635RFS4 I have a small leak on the bottom right corner of the door. It seems that I need a new gasket. Is item# AP4421139 the one that goes across the bottom or does it go all the way around? Do you have one that just goes across the bottom?
Answer Hello Mary, A dishwasher has a seal around three sides of the door. The two sides and across the top. The bottom is an air gap used for air intake during the dry cycle. If you have a leak at the bottom of the door, there is another underlying cause. Either you have a split or partially clogged spray arm, a leak at or around the detergent dispenser, or an oversoap condition. You can normally tell if one of the spray arms are clogged as you can see the food particles in the holes. The detergent dispenser would have to be inspected by disassembling the door panel. The oversoap condition can be checked for by filling the unit and letting it circulate the water for at least 90 seconds. If you at that point, open the door and suds are accumulated on top of the water, you are oversoaped. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, July 31, 2012
