Paul for Model Number FDB1050REM1 I have replaced the tub gasket and added the splash shield kit AP4338941. I have the door cover off but still can not figure out how to remove the old bottom door seal. The new one has what looks like a track it should fit in. With the door cover off I can only see approx 2 inches on each side, it looks like its covered by plastic. Do I have to take the door completely off? Mine also leaks through the middle of that bottom door seal.
Answer Hi Paul. Unless the seal 809006501 is adjusted properly, it will leak. It has to make contact with the tub on the bottom, but still allow enough room in the middle for the water to flow back into the tub. These can be very hard to adjust correctly, and may require several adjustments to get correct. I know it can get exasperating.Thank You. Read More...
