Dianne for Model Number FRS26LR5CB0 I replaced the ice maker assembly in my fridge less than 3 months ago, and now the crusher blades have bent. What would cause this to happen? It took 10 years for the first part to have issues, so this is disappointing. Are there replacement blades available? I'm not willing to replace the whole assembly again.
Answer Dianne, Yes, the five crusher blades and spacers are available as replacement parts. You will need to remove the crusher housing and check for loose and worn spacers, the flapper door and linkage for damage and excess play or movement in the auger shaft and drive hub.
